As a big fan of past calendar signings, I think I'm in for a big disappointment this year. The girls as just as lovely as ever, but I see no evidence there will be signings from
"coast to coast". It appears that Corporate support, which sent some of the girls around the country up until last year, is no longer there, probably due to the cost
involved. By mid-October, Hooters had always announced over 100 signing locations, which is not the case in 2008. It looks like only large, successful franchises such as
the Original Hooters and Hooters of Texas have big signings as in the past. It's too bad (especially in the 25th anniversary year), because it was the best way to meet
the girls, many of whom work limited schedules and are not there if one happens to visit the store. I hope I'm wrong!
